workshops are short, one or two-day events focusing on a wide variety of yoga and yoga-related topics. amrita offers a number of workshops to fit your interests. Register for any of these workshops in person at the amrita studio or by calling the amrita office at 503-552-YOGA (9642).

These free sessions are open to anyone interested in the practice of yoga or the teaching philosophy at amrita. Includes orientation to the studio and class curriculum overview, questions and discussion about yoga and its therapeutic application, and some time spent working with the basic poses that weave through all classes.

A three-part, in-depth exploration of anatomy and kinesiology specific to asana. This is especially recommended for yoga teachers and students who have an interest in the architecture and magic of the poses.

Yoga’s ability to stimulate and tone the reproductive system, regulate the body’s hormone levels, and decrease stress make it a helpful adjunct therapy when trying to conceive. Come join other women who are trying to conceive and learn how to befriend your body during this amazing and emotional process. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
