the amrita mentorship program is available to students who have completed the amrita 200hr teacher training program year. this program runs from september through june, and is an additional 10 months of in—depth study with an amrita teacher. apprentices will work in the classroom setting for the duration of the program learning hands—on adjustments, sequencing, pacing, and use of language. in this class the apprentice will have a chance to work consistently with one mentor teacher and put into practice the skills and techniques that they learned in the 200hr teacher training program.

apprentices will also meet as a group with the mentorship coordinator once a month for discussion and training (time/day is determined based on group availability). mentorship meetings will be used to discuss specific teaching techniques to be applied in the mentorship weekly class, and are a time to ask questions and discuss any issues that surface during the mentorship year. it is recommended that each apprentice connect with an “apprentice buddy” from the group with whom they can share notes or practice their teaching skills. it is very helpful to have someone to share this process with!

upon satisfactory completion of all mentorship requirements the apprentice will be awarded with an official seal to be placed on their amrita 200hr teacher training certificate.

• complete the amrita 200hr teacher training program
• attend regular classes at amrita for at least one year
• attend at least 1 retreat with sarahjoy

requirements

this 10 month program runs from september through june.

• attend all weekly mentorship classes
• attend all mentorship meetings (2 hours monthly)
• continue taking a weekly class at amrita
• attend 1 additional retreat with sarahjoy during the mentorship year
• stay on track with the classroom guidelines outlined in the mentorship program syllabus
• teach a final class

payment for the mentorship meetings ($400) must be made on or before september 1st to hold your spot in the program. the remaining mentorship class cost ($588) may be paid at the time of the initial payment, or split into two installments ($294 each) to be paid by automatic withdrawal on november 1st and february 1st.
