wellness program
mission
the wellness yoga program provides medically sound, gently tailored, and accessible yoga classes to people living with chronic, progressive, or debilitating illnesses, and for whom yoga could complement their medical treatment. yoga induces the relaxation response, which puts the body into its healing state, and allows us to manage chronic pain and disease—related stress and symptoms. the wellness yoga program teaches skills for lifestyle change and provides tools for developing awareness, mindfulness, and inner health.
