new students

we hope to see you on the mat soon! here are some tips for attending your first class:

new to yoga? try a level 1 class. injuries or health issues? consider chair yoga or ease into the spirit.

arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first class, to fill out the waiver and get a tour of the studio.

what to wear: shorts & footless leggings are appropriate, as are t-shirts. please do not wear sweat pants; it limits our ability to help with alignment of hips, knees and ankles.

what not to wear: perfume or heavy jewelry.

alert the teacher of any prior or current injuries.

please come with an empty stomach and an open mind.

what to bring: we provide mats, blocks, straps, and blankets. we do, however, strongly suggest that students either bring or purchase their own mats (available in the lobby). also, water bottle and a towel, if you wish. we have a water dispenser and paper cups, but covered containers only are allowed in the studio.
