refund policy
please read carefully below the amrita refund policy for our various services and products. contact the amrita office if you have questions.
amrita punchcards
punch cards are non-refundable, but they are transferable. you can also bring a friend, and we’ll punch your card twice.
amrita memberships
memberships purchased in full are non-refundable after 3 weeks. refunds will be less $8 per class taken during that time.
memberships purchased on a monthly autopay basis are non-refundable after 3 weeks, and will be less $8 per class taken during that time, up to the value of the first month’s payment. after 3 weeks an early termination fee of half the value of the remaining payments will be assessed.
all memberships are non-transferable.
amrita events and workshops
for workshops and events taught by amrita staff, refunds will be issued 5 days or more prior to an event. you may choose either a 100% studio credit good for future services or a refund in the same form as the original payment, less a $25 administrative fee. inside of 5 days, refunds will be issued in the form of 50% studio credit only. no refunds will be issued the day of or after the event or workshop.
visiting teacher events & workshops
for events or workshops taught by a visiting teacher, refunds will be issued one week before the event or workshop. you may choose either a 100% studio credit good for future services or a refund in the same form as the original payment, less a $25 administrative fee. no refunds will be issued inside of one week. refunds may be considered inside of one week if the space has been filled by another paying student.
amrita private and semi-private lessons
all private lessons require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel. no refunds or waiver of private lesson fee will be issued less than 24 hours prior to the private lesson. if your lesson is not paid for in advance, we will charge your account and you may reschedule your appointment after the account balance is paid in full.
retail
refunds for retail products will be issued only if the product has not been used or worn. retail refunds will be issued only as studio credit.
breitenbush retreats
refunds will be issued two weeks prior to the retreat. You may choose either a 100% studio credit good for future services or a refund in the same form as the original payment, less a $25 administrative fee. deposits are not refundable inside of two weeks. the yoga tuition portion may be considered for refund inside of two weeks if we are able to fill the space. no refund will be issued the day the retreat begins or after.
international retreats
amrita reserves the right to cancel retreats if enrollment minimums are not met. consequently, amrita strongly advises people registering for retreats where airfare is purchased separately to consult an experienced travel agent about purchasing trip insurance. in cases where amrita cancels a retreat, full refunds will be made of deposits and balances paid to amrita. in all other cases, deposits paid to amrita are non-refundable. refunds of amounts paid to amrita above the deposit amount will be made until 6 weeks before the retreat, less a $25 administrative feel. no refunds will be issued within 6 weeks of the first day of the retreat.
200 & 500 hour teacher training core requirements
deposits and scheduled payments are non-refundable and non-negotiable. payments will be made as agreed upon during registration. personal or medical emergencies may be considered on a case-by-case basis. request for refund must be submitted to the program manager for review.
account credits
credit for services may be applied to services only. credit for products can be applied to products or services.
full refunds will be issued for events or workshops cancelled by amrita.
